The Citadel FW file says Kastle 2 – can I actually flash Citadel with Kastle 2 firmware and vice versa?
Yes, you actually can! Both Kastle 2 and Citadel platforms use the same hardware architecture, so the firmware (from FW version 1.5 on) is interchangeable. The firmware now only determines what kind of instrument you get, no matter which body it inhabits, tabletop or eurorack. So far you can choose between the FX Wizard & Wave Bard firmware, but we'll sure keep them comin'...
How does MIDI work on Citadel?
You have two options: Citadel receives TRS MIDI via the MIDI IN jack, and both sends and receives USB MIDI via the USB-C connector on the back of the module.
What exactly is the USB-C for?
The USB-C is used for firmware updates, USB MIDI and/or uploading samples.
