What’s the difference between Kastle 2 Wave Bard and Kastle 2 FX Wizard? Can I use the Wave Bard firmware on FX Wizard?
- Both devices are built upon the same Kastle 2 platform and they share the same internal hardware. They differ in the faceplate and manual. You can easily load Wave Bard firmware into FX Wizard and vice versa.
Do I need to upload a Wave Bard firmware onto my Kastle 2 before uploading samples from the web app?
- No, the UF2 files generated by the web app already include the latest Wave Bard firmware. You can easily upload it onto your existing FX Wizard.
Can I buy the Wave Bard faceplate?
- The faceplates will be available at our B-shop, exact date TBA.
Can I flash Kastle 2 firmware on my Kastle 1.5/Drum/ARP and vice versa?
- No, Kastle 2 family uses completely different hardware, so the firmware isn’t interchangeable with 1.5/Drum/Arp.
Are the settings saved on power on/off?
- Kastle 2 Wave Bard saves input and output volumes, tempo, advanced settings /see the manual for those/, currently selected Bank and fine tuning. All other parameters and settings are cleared when the device is powered off.
What cables can be used for patching?
- Kastle 2 Wave Bard comes with a pack of 10 cables with rounded pins, if you need more you can grab extra long ones at B-shop or use any other breadboard wires (both round and square shaped).
How long do the batteries last?
- Up to 15-18 hours.
Can Kastle 2 Wave Bard charge AA batteries?
- No, it doesn’t charge batteries. It just prioritizes the USB when both options are available.
What is the USB-C for?
- Currently, the USB-C is used for powering the device and firmware updates/loading samples.
